Darthy Stephens Grant

Mrs. Darthy Stephens Grant, age 81, of Dublin passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Dublinair Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Grant was born February 4, 1939 in Johnson County. She was a retired supervisor in the Sewing Department at Uniroyal. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church. Dot loved her Savior, family, and church family. She was a kind, loving and southern lady who always thought of others. Until her declining health, she enjoyed fishing, baking, cooking, and the Atlanta Braves. She was preceded in death by her parents Elry and Marie Hargrove Stephens, her husband Morris T. Grant Jr., and sister Mae Townsend. She is survived by her son Tim (Marsha) Smith of Wrightsville, two daughters, Donna (James) Rhoten Jr. of Greenville, SC and Darlene (Kenny) Daniel of Dublin, five grandchildren, Wendy Smith, Lori (Neal) Rogers, Kassie (Bill) Middlebrooks, Michael Rhoten, and Mandy Rhoten, great-grandchildren Laila and Jacob Grant Rogers and the expected birth in June of Will Middlebrooks , brother Russell Stephens of Wrightsville, two sisters Iola (James) Covington of East Dublin and Georgia Smith of Dublin, and several dear nieces and nephews. A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Mertz officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.
