David Lynn Claxton

Graveside services for David Lynn "Fishbone" Claxton, age 54, will be held 2:00 PM April 13, 2020 in Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Youmans officiating. Mr. Claxton was born January 9, 1966 in Van Buren, ME. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School Class of 1984 and member of Piney Mount Church. He worked as a carpenter by trade for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry McCoy, and his two sons William B. Garnto Jr. and Justin Garnto. Mr. Claxton passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Claxton is survived by his wife Phyllis NeSmith Claxton, his mother Ernestine Claxton, a son Josh Garnto, brother Leonard Claxton (Debra), sisters Teresa Claxton and Patty Dollar (Chris), grandchildren Kenzie Garnto, Story Garnto and William Garnto, and his in-laws Charlotte and Larry NeSmith, his co-worker and favorite nephew Josh Claxton, nephews Elijah Willis, Jason Claxton, Keith Claxton and Christopher Dollar Jr., nieces April Fordham and Carleigh Pruett, brothers-in-law Bruce NeSmith and James NeSmith, and his best buds Dooly and Toby. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
