Dawson Gilder "Gil" Spence

Dawson Gilder ("Gil") Spence was born July 22, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia. He died unexpectedly in his home in Charleston, South Carolina, on February 15, 2022, at the age of 35. Gil attended Augusta Tech in Augusta, Georgia, and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. He was employed by Cingo in Charleston. Gil was preceded in death by his father, J. Ralph Spence and sister, Carrie Lynn Spence; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Gilder, Jr., and Mr. & Mrs. Carey J. Spence. Gil is survived by his mother, Millie Gilder Spence; sister, Dosia Spence; and brother Jamie S. (Holly) Spence; nieces, Jayden and Jocelynn and nephews Ryan and Rowan; Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M Monday, February 21, 2022, at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Hammons will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Gilderville Barn behind the residence of Fred Gilder at 3085 Gilder Road, Glenwood, GA 30428. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory in Dublin is in charge of arrangements.
