Dessie Patterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Carroll Soles Patterson, age 89, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Johnson County. Rev. Billy Todd will officiate. Mrs. Patterson was born June 14, 1928 in Wrightsville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Robert Lee Carroll and Claude Smith Carroll, her husbands, Troy Soles and Ivey Wilbur Patterson, a sister, Beualla Mae Mimbs and a brother, Felton Carroll. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Forstman and Company. She was a loving a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a loving friend to all, always laughing. Mrs. Patterson passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Dublinair Health and Rehabilitation. She is survived by her children, Judy (Ronald) Carter of Dexter, Eddie (Marlene) Soles of Eatonton, Becky (Don) Nelson of Dublin and Tyrie (Alyce) Patterson of California, five grandchildren, Tina (Alan) Myers of Dexter, Jamie (Sharon) Mills of Rockledge, Eric (Tori) Soles of Snellville, Andrea (Ben) Owens of Suwanee and Alia Shea Nelson of Dublin, seven great-grandchildren, Meagan (Cam) Gay of Dexter, Colby (Ashley) Myers of Dexter, Kaitlin Mills, Trey Mills, and Payne Mills all of Rockledge, Clayton Soles and Brandon Soles both of Snellville, two great-great-grandchildren, Keagan Gay of Dexter and Bo Myers of Dexter, a sister, Velma Soles of East Dublin, three step-grandchildren, Tammy Holder, Carie Patterson, and Mike Patterson and two step-grandchildren, Cameron Patterson and Victoria Holder. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the funeral home.. Pallbearers will be Alan Myers, Colby Myers, Cam Gay, Jamie Mills, Trey Mills and Eric Soles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Boulevard, NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, Georgia 30345- 3315. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
