Dolores Faith Smith

Graveside funeral services for Dolores Faith Smith, age 88, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Mrs. Smith was born August 23, 1932 and raised on a farm near Providence, Kentucky to parents, Joseph Bryan Harden and Amanda Olive Harden. In 1952 Dolores would marry Ira L. Smith while Mr. Smith was serving in the U.S. Army. Several years later they would move to Ira's hometown of Ft. Myers, FL, where they would raise their three sons. Dolores spent over 30 years as a telephone operator for United Telephone, which she took great pride in. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Estero, where her and her family were active in ministering to the community for many years. Her door was always open and she was always excited to welcome visitors into their home. As a mother and a grandmother there was no sacrifice too great. But her greatest contribution to her friends and family was the godly example she lived out each and everyday. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and raised her family to love Him as well. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ira Lee Smith. Mrs. Smith passed away on July 26, 2021 at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by her three sons, Bryan Lee Smith, Ira Michael Smith, and Gregory Scott Smith (Glenda), four grandchildren, Bryan E. Smith, Brittany L. Inkenbrandt, Joseph L. Smith, and Amy P. Smith, and four great grandchildren, Wyatt Inkenbrandt, Catherine Smith, Willow Inkenbrandt, and Bryan J. Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday July 29, 2021 at the funeral home.
