Donald Lewis

Memorial services for Donald Lewis, age 68 will be held privately by family at a later date.

Mr. Lewis was born December 11, 1956, in Sandersville, Georgia. He was the son of the late William James Lewis and Bertha Lou Thompkins Lewis. He was employed as a Boilermaker/Crane Operator for Local 470 Operators Union. Mr. Lewis passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Katherine Lewis of Sandersville; 3 sons, Chris Lewis (Miriam) of Dublin, Marshal Lewis (Sarah) of Wrightsville, and Spenser Lewis (Kimi) of Sandersville; a daughter, Kellie Burkhalter (Jacob) of Woodstock; 2 brothers, James Lewis of Austell and Ronald Lewis of Augusta; a sister, Loyette Neal of Milledgeville; and 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Isaac, Bailey, Lylah, Taylor, Sutton, and Addy Lane.
