Donnie Benton

Donnie Benton, from Dublin GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at his residence, unexpectedly, at the age of 67. Donnie was born in Dublin and went to Dublin High School. He then moved to Atlanta and lived there for over forty years. He formally worked at Exclusive Flooring Supply, in Atlanta, for many years before retiring and moving back to Dublin. Donnie was a well-known musician playing in numerous bands, from Blue Grass, to Blues, to even Christian. He had played with the Late Vessar Clements and Beverly "Guitar" Watkins. Donnie was a good Christian man that loved the Lord and had a strong passion for music. He is survived by his daughters; Hillary Benton, Orlando FL, and Heather Harrington, Colorado Springs, CO and his sister Dian Dunlap, East Dublin.

A celebration of his life will be held later.
