Doris Mccullough Abney

Funeral services for Doris McCullough Abney, age 74 will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Cadwell Baptist Church, with a private family interment to follow at McCullough Abney Cemetery. Rev. J.T. Taylor will officiate. Mrs. Abney was born January 19, 1945 in Chauncey, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Alton L. and Eunice Pearl Hendricks McCullough. She was a member of Cadwell Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher from West Laurens High School. She was a member of the Laurens-Dublin Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Abney passed away, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mrs. Abney is survived by her husband, Howard Abney of Cadwell, 2 sons, Ham Abney of Milledgeville, and Lee McCullough Abney of Madison, 3 sisters, Alice McCullough of Dublin, Annette Googe of Tifton, and Joyce McCullough of Hilton Head, SC, 4 grandchildren, Jessica Abney, Sophia Abney, McCullough Abney, and Sadie Abney, and 1 great-grandchild, Samuel Hanna. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
