Doris Lucille (Theobald) Miller, 99, of Dublin, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was born in Ohiowa, Nebraska on May 17, 1920.
Doris was a wonderful mom, grandma and wife. She also had a successful Avon route for several years while living in Lincoln, Neb. and she worked at the University of Minnesota while living in Minneapolis. After moving to Dublin in 1993, she was a very active member at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer in the gift shop at Fairview Park Hospital and was the recipient of the Fairview Park Frist Humanitarian Volunteer of the Year Award in 2001.
She loved to cook and bake and was a talented seamstress. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved jokes, laughter and bringing joy to others. Her ready smile and kind spirit will be fondly remembered.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. (Bob) Miller. She is survived by her children, Jacque (Tom) Liker of Milwaukee, Wis., Jim (Paula) Miller of Seattle, Wash., Jeri (Edwin) Porter of Dublin, Ga., Jody (Bob) Bonsen of Plymouth, Minn.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
