Doris Evelyn Moon

Memorial services for Mrs. Doris Evelyn Moon, age 76 will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Robbie Jones will officiate. Mrs. Moon was born on August 22, 1938 in Greensboro, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Clifton and Lennie Smith Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Moon. She has lived in Laurens County for the past 12 years. She was retired from Roses Department Store. Mrs. Moon passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mrs. Moon is survived by her son, Keith Moon of Dublin, a daughter-in-law, Susie Moon, 3 brothers, Clarence Payne, Leonard Payne, and Mike Payne, 2 sisters, Clara Hopkins, and Marie Whitley, and 2 grandchildren, Ashley Moon and Rachael Moon. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
