Earl Wilson

Funeral services with Military Honors for Earl Wilson, age 76, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate.

Mr. Wilson was born on December 5, 1948, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilson and Ruby Grant Wilson. He was a United States Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He retired from the State of Georgia and was a member of the Moose Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, Texas Hold'em and Bingo, he was a great caregiver to his mother-in-law, whom he loved dearly, and loved traveling with his family. Mr. Wilson passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife Vonnie Dent Wilson of Dublin, son Shon (Heather) of Dublin, 2 brothers, Johnny Wilson (Peggy) of Dublin and Jack Wilson (Maggie) of Warner Robins, sister, Mary Ellen Powell of Meeks, and grandchildren, Wesley, Savannah and Creek.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Wilson, Maudiant Montford, L.V. Lee, Doug Gay, Vic Steptoe, and Tony Wiley.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 12:45 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of the funeral arrangements.
