Graveside services for Mrs. Elaine Queen Wilson, 63, will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Rowland will officiate.
Mrs. Wilson was born on June 10, 1957 in Clayton, Georgia to the late Floyd and Lillian Queen. She was a member of Powell's Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and from the late 1980's until 2015, she impacted the lives of countless young children across Johnson County by being "Mama Laine" while keeping children in her home. However, her favorite "job" was being Maine and Mimi to her 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Raymond Wilson of Wrightsville, her sons, David Lee (Ashlyn) Williamson, Leslie "Travis" Wilson both of Wrightsville, and Tracey Gay of Reidsville, Holly (Jason) Brett, Shelby (Franklin) Carter both of Wrightsville, and Ashley (Justin) Harrison of Kathleen, brothers, Earnest (Joy) Queen and Earl (Wanda) Queen, sisters, Joyce Ledger and Emily (Alton) Rowland and 12 grandchildren, Chan Sumner, Rebekah Williamson, Andrew Williamson, David Williamson, Kayden Sumner, Matthew Williamson, Ethan Wilson, Carson Carter, Connor Harrison, Caroline Harrison, Allie Gay, and Dawson Hooks.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC.
Pallbearers will be David Williamson, Andrew Williamson, Chan Sumner, Matthew Williamson, Ethan Wilson, and Chris Mayo. Honorary pallbearer will be Connor Harrison.
