Ellie Minton

A memorial service for Miss Mary Eloise "Ellie" Minton, age 76, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until funeral hour. Miss Minton was born August 10, 1938 in Johnson County, Georgia but has made her home in Florida for a number of years. She was a graduate of Georgia Southern University, from which she obtained her Masters of Education. She formerly taught Physical Education at Fernandina High School and at Gulf Coast Community College. She was a member of Church at the Beach/Gulf Beach Baptist Church in Panama City Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie L. & Vina Belle Brantley Minton, a brother, James Lamar Minton and a niece, Jennifer Waters. Miss Minton passed away Friday, August 15, 2014. She is survived by her sister, Martha Waller of Wrightsville, two brothers, Billy Minton of Swainsboro and Jack Minton of Kite, her nephews, Jamie Minton, Doug Waller and Andrew Minton, great-nieces, Cheri Jackson, Adrianna Minton and Emily Waller, a great-nephew, Benjamin Waters and a great-great-niece Sophie Jackson. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
