Eugene Franklin Goff

Eugene Franklin Goff, age 93, of Dublin, GA, died Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Dublin Square, Dublin, GA. Born in Columbia, SC, on March 21, 1933, he left home to join the marines, serving on the fire brigade at Homestead AFB. This would lead to his career as a fire fighter with the West Miami Fire Department. He would retire early as the Fire Chief of West Miami to move with his wife to Hendersonville, NC. Eugene would begin a second career at Bildon, Inc. in Hendersonville, helping to remodel, build and paint manufacturing companies including the swinging bridge at Chimney Rock, NC. A second retirement would bring him home to Florida, enjoying the sunny days fishing the river in Edgewater, FL and charming customers while working at Publix.

Gene was an avid fisherman, although caught fewer than his beloved wife, Joann who predeceased him in 2022. Early summers were spent camping in the eastern states with his family.

Always quick with a smile and a joke, he will be missed by all who know him. Survivors include his daughters, Julie Suid-Terrell (Bob); Linda Bozovich (Skip); and Amy Goff; sister-in-law, Donna Todd (Hank); 2 grandsons, Rick Suid (Becky) and Jamie Suid (Diorella); 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, Sarah, Adalyn, and Rourke Suid; 2 nephews-in-law, Brian Chase (Carrie) and Kevin Chase; and great niece and nephew Madelyn and Luke Chase.

No services have been planned. The family would like to extend special thanks to Georgia Hospice Care, Dublin Square, James Place and Pruitt Health for their compassionate and loving care. We are comforted by the knowledge Eugene is enjoying his next great adventure.
