Florene Hendrix

Funeral services for Florene Tapley Maddox Hendrix, age 90 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Roger Holley will officiate. Mrs. Hendrix was born September 16, 1927 in Deepstep, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Gordon W. and Minnie Lee Garrett Tapley. She was a retired Daycare Operator for many years. She was the oldest living member of Central Drive Baptist Church. Mrs. Hendrix passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her son, John Wesley (Gail) Maddox of East Dublin, a daughter, Annette (Hugh) Nelms of Vidalia, 2 sisters, Virginia Colston of East Dublin, and Jimmie Bedgood of Macon, 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shane Nelms, Shane Maddox, Bailee Kight, Karsen Kight, Jerry Colston, and Jason Kight. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until funeral hour Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
