Frances Mimbs, 74, of East Dublin, Georgia passed away after a brief illness on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital. Frances was born on May 10, 1946 in Dublin Georgia to the late Rev. Troy and Mozell Crisp. She married the love of her life, Bruce Mimbs on September 24, 1977 and recently celebrated 43 years of marriage. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. Frances worked various jobs throughout her life, but her passion was nurturing and caring for children. She was the Director of Clearview Baptist Daycare and Briar Patch Daycare for many years, leaving her mark in the heart of every child she cared for. Frances was a wonderful combination of someone who had a love of live and a true understanding of what was important which was living a life with those you loved. First and foremost, she was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a vibrant personality and always made people around her feel special. She was proceeded in death by her parents Rev. Troy Hamilton Crisp and Mary Mozell (Stewart) Crisp, and brothers John Crisp, William Crisp, Bill Mimbs, and Junior Crisp, and sister, Betty West and two great grandchildren, Annie Leigh & Kelly Ruth Spivey. Mrs. Mimbs is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Mimbs of East Dublin; six adoring children: daughters Teresa Spivey of Eastman, Kathy (Randy) Hart, Angela (Keith) Aaron, Kimberly Sheffield of East Dublin and sons, Richie Sharp and Jacob Spivey of East Dublin. Ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved siblings; Etta (Sid) Guillot, James (Debbie) Crisp and Fred Crisp, and many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Frances was a loving and devoted wife, Mother, Nana, Sister and Friend to so many. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, on Monday, November 16, 2020, at Blue Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Edwards and Rev. Jim Allen officiating. Stanley Funeral Home and staff respectfully ask all in attendance to please wear mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Pallbearers will be Jacob Spivey, Michael Spivey, Ryan Spivey, Keith Spivey, Kyle Hill & Austin Sharp. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
