Fred L. Harvey

Graveside services for Fred L. Harvey, age 77, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronnie Powell will offiicate.

Mr. Harvey was born on February 21, 1948, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a member of the United States Army and was a retired fire fighter with 40 years for the City of Dublin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley C. Harvey and Doris Dukes Brickey; daughter, Shelly McCoy Tanner; and his sister, Leila Thigpen. Mr. Harvey passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Memorial Health University in Savannah.

He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Harvey of Dublin; daughter, Holly M. (Stacey) Sapp of Dublin; son, Chris Harvey of Dublin; sister, Anna Marie (Jerry Lee) Garner of Tennille; brother-in-law, Vic Thigpen of Minter; 6 grandchildren Miranda (Caleb Mimbs) Whittington, Jesse (Jordan) Powell, Shannon (Korey) Vickers, Kade (Ragan) Powell, Bailey Harvey and Evan Carr, and 6 great grandchildren, Paxton Whittington, Marla Whittington, Silas Mimbs, Liam Vickers, Mac Powell and Mia Powell.

Pallbearers will be Korey Vickers, Kade Powell, Jesse Powell, Evan Carr, Caleb Mimbs, Cory Klassen, and Steve Dukes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Poole, Gary McCord, Ricky Owens, Earl Stewart, Bruce Mimbs, J.D. Plummer and members of the Dublin Fire Department.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
