Fred Thomas Smith

Memorial services for Fred Thomas Smith, age 71 will be held at a later date.

Mr. Smith was born February 10, 1952, in Valdosta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Fred Lavonne Smith and Annie Mae Rogers Swindle. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Smith. He was a retired self-employed welder and metal fabricator. He loved to fly helicopters and his ultralight around Rentz, Georgia. Mr. Smith passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Shamrock Nursing Home.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Shelley Smith of Rentz; a son, Owen Trevor Smith of Live Oak, FL; 3 brothers, Dennis Smith of Valdosta, James Smith of Valdosta; and Jeff Smith of Arizona; a sister, Barbara Ann Smith of Valdosta; nephews and nieces, Brett Smith, Dustin Smith, Justin Smith, Misty Smith Roberts, Tracy Bennett, and Sarah Bennett.
