Freddie Baugus

Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Earl Baugus, age 79, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Zeta Cemetery in Tennille, Georgia. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate. Mr. Baugus was born May 5, 1937 in Appling, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Wesley Baugus & Julia Rodella Crook Baugus and two brothers, Marvin Baugus and Harold Baugus, Sr. He was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard and was a charter member and past-president of the East Dublin Lions Club. He was retired as a foreman from J.P. Stevens & Company and also formerly worked at M. Taylor Construction and Southeast Paper Company. He was an avid golfer and his love was apparent in many things but what he loved the most was his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and "the boys". Mr. Baugus passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lyndel Ann Screws Baugus, his son, Charles Michael Baugus of Dublin, two daughters, Debra Sue (David) Feliciano of Savannah and Cynthia Ann (Timothy) Truelove of Dublin, two sisters, Shirley Buttersworth and Catherine (Jimmy) Lord both of Sandersville, two grandchildren, Keith (Jennifer) Todd and Matthew Todd, two great-grandchildren, Rylan G. Todd and Destini A. Todd and a sister-in-law, Lucile Baugus. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be David Feliciano, Tim Truelove, Keith Todd, Matthew Todd, Harold Baugus, Jr., and Gary Deen. George Gornto and Frank Cook will serve as honorary pallbearers. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
