Gary Travis Wood

Funeral services for Gary Travis Wood, age 72 , will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 9, 2020 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Nick Campbell will officiate. Mr. Wood was born October 3, 1947 in Wrightsville Georgia. He worked as a parts manager with Newsome Ford and retired with Thomas Auto Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents Travis and Annie Blizzard Wood. He is survived by his uncle Wayne Wood of Mississippi, aunt Carolyn Underwood of Mississippi, aunt Tulleen Blizzard of Wrightsville, and many cousins. Pallbearers will be Johnny Blizzard, Bobby Brown, Russell Dixon, Jimmy Sumner, John McCollum and Veal Moorman. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
