Gayle Edney

Memorial services for Gayle Edney, age 68 will be held privately for family in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate.

A visitation for the public will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mrs. Edney was born October 26, 1957, in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Billie Fulford and Adalene Fulford. She is also lovingly remembered by her late golden retriever, Reese, and by her family pets at home. She was a retired Registrar for the State of Georgia. She was a devoted wife, loving mama, and cherished Yaya. Mrs. Edney passed away peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Mrs. Edney is survived by her husband of 42 years, Randy Edney; 3 children, Sarah Evans (Nathan), Laura Edney, and Ben Edney (Meagan); 6 grandchildren, Peyton Edney, Norah Evans, Walker Evans, Tallulah Edney, Millie Evans, and Irie Edney; a brother, Jeffery Fulford; a sister, Donna Smith, and her children, Jenny Woodard (Josh), Danny Cartie (Maggie), and Michael Cartie (Tiffany); a brother-in-law, Kenny Edney (Robin); and by her great nieces and great-nephews;

In accordance with Mrs. Edney’s wishes the family ask that live plants be sent in her memory instead of flowers.
