Gene Jerry Campbell, Sr.

Funeral services for Gene Jerry Campbell, Sr., age 61 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Joseph Mullis Cemetery. Rev. Loretta Faulk will officiate.

Mr. Campbell was born July 19, 1965, in Macon, Georgia. He was the son of the late Jerry Campbell. He was employed with Mike’s Tire Shop. Mr. Campbell passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center.

Mr. Campbell was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who found his greatest joy in his family. He had a free bird spirit. He was a kind man that his family could always count on- a source of strength, wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love and many stories he could tell.

As a father, he worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the importance of honesty, perseverance, and treating others with kindness. As a grandfather, he treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and created memories they will carry with them the rest of their lives.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his mother, Betty Evans Johnson of Fort Valley; 2 sons, Gene “Runt” Campbell, Jr. Fort Valley and Brandon Williamson of Macon; a daughter, Jennifer Guzman (Jorge) of Macon; a sister, Susan Bryant (Joshua) of Fort Valley; his significant other, Jessica Griffin and 6 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Campbell, Cameron Campbell, Jed Burney, Dustin Burney, Charles Owens, and Michael Lawson

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2026, at the funeral home.
