Gennie L. Medlin

Graveside funeral services for Gennie L. Medlin, age 93 will be held at 9:30 A.M. Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Randy Adams will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Mrs. Medlin to Brown Memorial Baptist Church at P.O. Box 191, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Mrs. Medlin was born May 6, 1928, in Canton, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Eula Fowler Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Otis Medlin, a son-in-law, Beverly Pool, Jr., a grandson, Caleb Pool, and a granddaughter, Leigh Ann Medlin. She was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired supervisor for Buckeye Industries. She loved attending the Johnson County Senior Center. Mrs. Medlin passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Medlin is survived by her 2 sons, Jimmy (Kim) Medlin of Cumming, and Roy L. (Ann) Medlin of Kernersville, NC, a daughter, Linda M. Pool of Wrightsville, grandchildren, Nathan (Marcee) Pool, Tyler (Laura) Medlin, Jacob (Randi) Pool, Stefan (Rachel) Medlin, Alex Brooks, Mary Beth (Jeff) Jager, Lynn Pool, and Juan (Maria) Lopez, great-grandchildren, Gabriel Brooks, Max Lopez, Yanet Lopez, Genna Lee Pool, Ike Pool, Emma Lou Pool, Caige Pool, Marlee Pool, Shiloh Pool, Ellie Jager, Reese Jager, Olivia Jager, Bryson Medlin, and Molly Medlin. Pallbearers will be Nathan Pool, Jacob Pool, Tyler Medlin, Juan Lopez, Caige Pool, Ike Pool, and Stefan Medlin. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
