George Randy Brown

Memorial services for George Randy Brown, age 62 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Janice Laster and Dr. Larry Daniel will officiate. Mr. Brown was born on October 17, 1954 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wanell Warren Lamb. He was also preceded in death by his late wife, Debra Barwick Brown, paternal grandparents, George and Eula Brown, and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Reba Warren. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corps where he fought in Vietnam. He was a retired Correctional Officer for the State of Georgia. Mr. Brown passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife, Liz Brown of Rentz, his father, Ezra Brown of Dublin, 2 brothers, Andy Brown of Cedar Grove, and Ira (Susan) Brown of Dublin, 2 nephews, Brian Brown of Cedar Grove, and Joey Brown of Dexter, and a host of extended family from Randy's late wife, Debra Barwick Brown. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Brown to American Diabetes Association at 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
