George W. East, Jr.

Funeral services for George W. East, Jr., age 76, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.

Mr. East was born on October 31, 1948, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church and attended Marie Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of East Gas Company and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. East, Sr. and Nannie Kennedy East, two sons, George W. East, III and Timothy Justin Williams, his brother Robert East, Sr. and his father-in-law Franklin Crabb. Mr. East passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Addington Place of Dublin.

He is survived by his wife Patti East of Dublin; 3 daughters Ashley (Kirk) Laneve of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy Kennedy East of Roswell, and Georga-Ellen Lilly East of Dublin; sister Polly (Jim) Altman of Woodstock; mother-in-law Evelyn Crabb of Wrightsville; and 5 grandchildren Audrey Laneve, Jackson Laneve, Kaytlynn Williams, Georgia Williams and Jacklyn Williams.

Pallbearers will be Larry Waters, Wyman Brantley, Jimmy Taylor, Mike Spivey, Robert "Bubba" East, Jr., Carlton Claxton and Cal Chester.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
