George Claxton Woodard

Graveside Memorial Services for George Claxton Woodard, age 84 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Rentz City Cemetery.  Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate.

Mr. Woodard was born May 18, 1940, in Rentz, Georgia. He was the son of the late Claxton Woodard and Adon Hobbs Woodard. He retired from J.P.Stevens/Forstman. He also was retired from his lawn company. He was a beloved outdoorsman where he had a passion for gardening and cutting grass. Mr. Woodard passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Diane Oxford Woodard of Rentz; 2 sons, Victor (Kerri) Woodard of Cadwell, and Rodney (Gwen) Woodard of Cadwell; a daughter, Lisa Woodard; a grandchild, Skyler (Andrew) Woodard Slater; and a great-grandchild, Parker Slater.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Woodard to a charity of your choice.
