Georgia Elizabeth Herringdine

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Elizabeth Parker Herringdine, age 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Union Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate. Mrs. Herringdine was born July 1, 1928 in Wrightsville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents the late, E. Holly Parker & Pauline Glover Parker. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and volunteered for numerous community services. For several years, she owned and operated Homesteader's Antiques and was the former Executive Director of the Wrightsville Housing Authority. Mrs. Herringdine passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Pat) Herringdine and Bill (Rhonda) Herringdine both of Wrightsville, two granddaughters, Kristy (Lawrence) Kasmen and Karen (Shane) Nelson and four great-grandchildren, Mackey, Mia, Ryan and Hayden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. March 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Curtis Herringdine, Mike Herringdine, Paul Parker, Larry Powell, John Norris, Allen Norris. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
