Mr. Gerald Lee Bailey, age 70 passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Bailey was born on September 20, 1943. He was the son of the late D.C. and Lucile Bailey. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Cathy Bailey of Columbus, 2 sons, Shannon (Teresa) Bailey of Rentz, and Kevin Bailey of Rentz, 2 daughters, Cassandra (Tal) Fountain of Rentz, and Brandy (William) Morgan of Dexter, his children's mother, Jo Ann Mullis Bailey of Rentz, 2 brothers, Terry Bailey of Opalaka, FL, and Stevie Bailey of Marietta, 2 sisters, Jo Ann Johnson of Little Rock, AR, and Carol Bailey Freeman of Huntsville, AL, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of Cassandra and Tal Fountain at 2119 Davison Road in Rentz and from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
