Gladys Pope Mctier

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys P. McTier, age 94, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at the Foskey Cemetery. Rev. James Covington will officiate. Mrs. McTier was born March 28, 1923 in Adrian, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Hilton and Effie Thigpen Pope and her husband, Frederick W. McTier. She was a member of Scott Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. McTier passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. She is survived by her sons, Ronald McTier and Wendell McTier both of Adrian, her daughter, Susan (Jamie) Page of East Dublin, two sisters, Mazie Morgan and Pauline Belote both of Adrian, five grandchildren, Christina (Dave) Saunders, Shannon Page, Stephanie Page, Ryan McTier and Tara McTier and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Jackson, Ricky Dixon, James Moore, Herbert McTier, Joey Soles and Dave Saunders. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
