Grace Griswell

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Wilson Griswell, age 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Charles Lowery, Rev. Fred Morrison and Rev. Ron Bracewell will officiate. Mrs. Griswell was born September 7, 1929 in Harrison, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Harris Luther Wilson and Willie Mae Brantley Wilson, a son, David Griswell, two brothers, Bennie Wilson and Colon Wilson and a sister, Lois Blue. She was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church and was retired from Easy Mills as a machine operator. Mrs. Griswell passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. She is survived two sons, Douglas (Rebecca) Griswell, Jr. and Jimmy Wilson Griswell both of Wrightsville, a daughter, Carol (Gerald) Bloodworth of McIntyre, five grandchildren, Tara Robinson, Lisa Bloodworth, Brooke Price, Jimmy Harris Griswell and Casey Griswell Lord, five great-grandchildren, two special nieces, Brenda K. (Steve) Cardo and Jean Wiliams, a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Griswell and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Logue, Keith Roberts, Tristian Tyson, Johnny Scarborough, Rusty Oxford and Rusty Webb. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
