Grady Thompson, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Grady Lanier Thompson, Jr., age 88, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp & Rev. Janice Laster will officiate. Mr. Thompson was born April 18, 1929 in Johnson County, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Grady Lanier Thompson, Sr. and Bessie Haywood Thompson, his wife, Corene Thompson and a brother, Oscar Thompson. He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Coca-Cola in Dublin. Mr. Thompson passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. He is survived by 2 daughters, Wendy (Rick) Tooley and Kay (Greg) Soles all of Adrian, three granddaughters, Brooke (Chris) Dowling, Tara (Tim) Tharp and Jonie Tooley, four brothers, Leon Thompson, Percy Thompson, Billy Thompson and R.D. Thompson, three sisters, Pauline Harbin, Louise Coleman and Susie Dudley, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until funeral hour, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the church. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
