H. Thomas "Shirt" Maddox

Funeral services for H. Thomas "Shirt" Maddox, age 78 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Marie Baptist Church with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Hutto and Mr. Ben Hall will officiate. Mr. Maddox was born December 17, 1939 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Horace Thomas and Eunice Scarbrough Maddox. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Earl Maddox. He was retired Vice President of Maintenance and Equipment for Dublin Construction Company where he worked for 50 years. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church. Mr. Maddox passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Maddox is survived by his son, Tommy Maddox of Athens, a friend, Linda Brandon, 2 brothers, Ben Maddox of East Dublin, and H.M. Maddox of Fort Valley, and 3 sisters, Frances Oliver of Wrightsville, Mildred Croombs of East Dublin, and Elaine Fountain of East Dublin. Honorary Pallbearers will be the present and former employee's of Dublin Construction Company. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
