Hal E. Bray, Jr., 67, of Wrightsville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens, Georgia. He was born in Wrightsville, January 22, 1950, to Hal, Sr. and Joyce Jackson Sullivan. Hal graduated from Wrightsville High School. He then attended South Georgia Technical College in Americus where he became a certified electrician, and later worked and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Hal had two daughters, Tricia (Frasier) and Carla (Bradley), and was blessed with three precious grandchildren whom he adored, Bray (Frasier), Anna Kate (Frasier) and Leslie (Bradley). Hal was known for his daily rounds of visiting friends, his love of Georgia football and old country music. He always loved growing vegetables and taking them to people and spending time with them--that was his gift.
Survivors include his children, Tricia (Mark) Frasier and Carla (Jody) Bradley; grandchildren Bray, Anna Kate, and Leslie; sister, Clara Bray; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends who were so dear to him.
Join us in casual attire for barbeque, conversation, and visitation Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 at Bethel Methodist Church, 4330 Highway 57 West, Wrightsville, GA. Service will begin at 7:00 P.M. with sunset burial immediately following at Westview Cemetery.
Ricky Snell, Derek Webb, Walen Roberts, Truitt Price, Charles Blackburn, Roland Thomas and Mike Brinson will serve as pallbearers.
John McAfee, Ken Bray, Ron Bray, Eric Jackson, Caleb Pool, Jim Holton, Eric Holton, Chandler Phillips, Gavin Daniel and Chapman Phillips will serve as honorary pallbearers.
