Hannah June Kilgore

Graveside services for Hannah June Kilgore, age 70, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021, in Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. L. T. Logue officiating. Mrs. Kilgore was born December 31, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia, one of eight daughters, to the late Vernon and Lucille Holmes Woodard. She previously worked at J.P. Stevens, Gibson's Department Store, and ran her own resale shop prior to relocating to Portal in the early 1990's to be with family. She was preceded in death by the father of her child, John Sheffield, sisters, Virginia Lloyd, Evelyn Holmes, Gloria Carter and Heidi Woodard, and former husband, Lynn Kilgore. Mrs. Kilgore passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her sisters, Latrell Wynn of Portal, Florence W. Colston of Kite, and Hilda Marsh of East Dublin, daughter, Violet Dawn Sheffield Martin of Warner Robins, two grandchildren, her devoted niece, Sherry Wynn Bradshaw, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service. Stanley Funeral Home & Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
