Harold Peavy

Funeral services for Harold Peavy, 83, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 23, 2022, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Graham Memorial Church Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Rowland and Rev. Don Hicks will officiate.

Mr. Peavy was born on March 16, 1939, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He worked with Colonial Baking Company and retired after 30 years. His main job was servicing Piggly Wiggly. He was a member of East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center, formerly served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at East Dublin Baptist and member of the Middle Georgia Sales Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Maefield Hammock Peavy, and siblings, Nettie Peavy Sammons, Elbert Peavy, Dewey Peavy, Coleman Peavy and Dan Peavy. Mr. Peavy passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife Mary E. Page Peavy, two sons Ricky Peavy and Greg Peavy, daughter Liesa Peavy, sister Barbara Sue Peavy Waller, grandchildren Mandi Peavy Berry, Carley Peavy, Dalton Peavy and Casey Peavy, great grandchildren LeAnna Berry, Lane Berry, Tayton Warren, and Colins Tripp, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Peavy, Casey Peavy, Mitchell Melton, Tyler Warren, Josh Chafin and Thomas Tripp.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
