Harold Winston Spivey

Harold Winston Spivey, age 86, of Dublin passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was the son of the late Charlie Eason and Inez Keen Spivey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elma Stewart Spivey, daughter, Elaine Andrews, 2 brothers, Jimmy Spivey and Tommy Spivey, and son-in-law Dennis Watson. Harold was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a Laurens Co. Deputy Sherriff and worked as an auctioneer with Hudson and Marshall for over 40 years. He had a zest for life and will be greatly missed. Mr. Spivey is survived by his daughter, Ruth Watson of Dublin, a brother, Billy Spivey of East Dublin, 4 grandchildren, Autumn (Chad) Allen, Raven (Darrell) Callaway, Misty Watson, and Ashley (Christina) Andrews, and 5 great grandchildren, Abbey Allen, Anna Allen, Jaycee Davis, Cassie Marchman, and Colbie Marchman. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Stanley Funeral Home in Dublin, Ga. Private memorial services for Mr. Spivey will be held later by his immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church of East Dublin, Ga. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
