Helmon Moorman

Graveside memorial services for Helmon Moorman, age 64, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dylan Pettis will officiate.

Mr. Moorman was born on August 12, 1960, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a graduate of East Laurens High School, class of 1978. He worked at Southeast Paper for almost 20 years. He then began working at Choo-Choo Build-It Mart in sales. This paved the way for his ultimate passion in real estate development at Lake Sinclair, which he enjoyed for the past 25 years. Aside from his love for real estate, he enjoyed riding his tractor, hunting, fishing, old cars, and anything on the water. Above all, he was a loving husband and father of nearly 40 years.

Mr. Moorman passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bonnie Tanner Moorman. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Moorman of East Dublin; his son, Ben (Taylor) Moorman of Panama City, FL; 2 sisters, Benita Moorman of Adrian and Regina (Jimmy) Sterling of Adrian; brother, Ty (Sherri) Moorman of Adrian; sister in-law Sherry Bush-Thacker; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
