Funeral services for Henry Lee Sumner, Jr. age 77 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel, of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Mr. Sumner was born November 14, 1940 in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Henry Lee Sumner, Sr. and Louise Meeks Sumner. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Len Sumner. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the VFW. Mr. Sumner passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Mr. Sumner is survived by his 3 children, Donna Wilkinson of East Dublin, Karen Sumner (John) Conley of East Dublin, and Chris (Laurie) Sumner of Dublin, 3 sisters, Patsy Horton of Dublin, Sharon Usery of Dublin, Brenda Blackburn of Wrightsville, 2 brothers, Randy Sumner of Dublin, and Ronnie Sumner of Milledgeville, 5 grandchildren, Joshua Sumner, Scott Sumner, Karla Allen, Jacie Conley, and Lea Wilkinson, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Josh Sumner, Scott Sumner, John Conley, Jeff Horton, David Horton and Bruce Horton. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
