Herbert Gillis

A memorial service for Mr. Herbert Gillis, age 68, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gillis was born February 18, 1949 in Hazelhurst, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Daniel & Mary Lilly Churchwell Gillis and a sister, Mary Wise. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a truck driver for Hatcher Trucking. Mr. Gillis passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gillis of East Dublin, a son, Larry Wayne Garner of Dublin, three daughters, Lara Graham of Wrightsville, Betty Jane Griffin of East Dublin and Tracy Gillis of Franklin, Indiana, two brothers, Tommy Gillis of East Dublin and Bobby Gillis of Cobb and a sister, Linda Stewart of East Dublin.
