Herman Talmadge Phillips

Funeral Services for Herman Talmadge Phillips, age 73 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Buckeye Christian Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Donnie Carter will officiate. Mr. Phillips was born July 21, 1948, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late John David and Lillian Cox Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Art Phillips, Herschel Phillips, and Ralphene Brown-Harris. He was a retired heavy machine operator for W.F. Jackson Construction Company and a farmer. He was a member of Buckeye Christian Church. Mr. Phillips passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Emory University Hospital. Mr. Phillips is survived by his son, Ricky Phillips of Wrightsville; 2 daughters, Rebecca (Randy Crabtree) Phillips of Dublin, and Rachel Jackson of Warner Robins; a brother, George (Lynda) Phillips of Wrightsville; a sister, Lorene (Henry) Copeland of Wrightsville; a sister-in-law, Judy Phillips of Wrightsville; and a granddaughter, Raina Crabtree. Pallbearers will be Lee Copeland, Tim Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Rob Phillips, Brad Johnson, Murray Phillips, and Keith Copeland. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Buckeye Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Phillips to Buckeye Christian Church C/O Judy Phillips at 2606 New Buckeye Road, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
