Hershel Roscoe Childers

Funeral services for Hershel Roscoe Childers, age 78, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 17, 2023, at New Bethel Baptist Church with a private family burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate.

Mr. Childers was born on October 4, 1944, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was owner of R.C. Tire Company. He was preceded in death by his parents Dan R. "Buster" and Annie Laura Ethridge Childers and brother Clayton Childers. Mr. Childers passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at his residence.

He is survived by his 2 brothers Dan Childers (Beth) and Jerry Childers of Dublin; sister-in-law Myra Childers of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Brown, Tracy Childers, Brad Childers, Kevin Childers, Fred Weaver and Bryan Childers.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. on Thursday at the church prior to the service.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
