Homer Starley

Funeral services for Homer Harvey Starley, age 57, will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Dublin Church of God with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Milton Thomas and Rev. Hugh Spivey will officiate. Mr. Starley was born November 29, 1956 in Dublin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Alver B. & Thelma Starley and a son, Travis Neal Starley. He was retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and the Georgia National Guard. He was a member of the Dublin Church of God and the Emerald City Officials Association. Mr. Starley passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Starley, of East Dublin, two sons, Eric (Mandy) Starley of East Dublin and Justin Starley of Dudley, three brothers, Al (Frances) Starley of Dudley, Tommy (Hilda) Starley of Dexter and Terry (Terrie) Starley of East Dublin, four sisters, Maryann (Randell) Meeks of Soperton, Betty (Charles) Jacobs of Vienna, Jane (Wayne) Lowery of East Dublin and Melody Starley of Hawkinsville, three grandchildren, Colby Starley, Cohen Starley and Jayden Starley and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Jump, Otis Cook, Jeffery Ellington, Joey Selph, Daniel Knight and Jay Starley. Honorary escorts will include Gary Starley, Jeff Starley, Chad Harrison, Mike Skipper, Jeff Garnto, Rocky Dalton and Willie Clover. Stanley Funeral Home & Crematory/ Dublin Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
