Mr. Howard Ray Joiner, age 55, of Cedar Grove, went to his heavenly home, Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Mr. Joiner was born February 8, 1960 in Dublin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Lamar Ray Joiner. He was a member of the Dublin Church of God where he taught Sunday school and served on the Pastor's Council. He was retired as a Staff Sergeant with over 24 years of service from the military and was currently employed by XO Tech as a Logistics Management Specialist.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Latrell Joiner, two children, Joshua (Tabby) Joiner and Jesse (Brittany) Joiner all of Dublin, three grandchildren, Raidyn Joiner, Maddyn Joiner and Bayne Joiner , as well a grandchild due in October.
In addition, Howard is survived by his father & mother-in-law, Paul & Judy Gay, uncles and aunts, Darriel & Christine Joiner, Shirley Towns, Wayne & Martha Floyd, J.B. & Margaret Floyd and Donnie Floyd, three sisters-in-law, Becky (Mike) Carter, Ruby (Dewayne) Bynum of Alamo, and Marsha Tyson, as well as his best friend, Mike (Tina) Foskey.
Nieces and nephews include Maci Carter and Emily Carter, Holly (Tim) Passmore, Heather (Kelly) Albritton, Kyle (Brandy) Bynum, Pace Tyson and Brandon Bynum.
Great nieces and nephews include Jase Oliver, Jax Manning, Jarrett Albritton, Katelee Albritton, Jadyn, Chloe and Kenady Passmore.
Howard is also survived by his mother, Ann Clark, and his brother, Hilton (Judy) Joiner of Soperton.
Howard's going home celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Dublin Church of God with interment to follow at Alamo City Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hardeman and Rev. William Pope will officiate
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Foskey, Chris Beasley, Andy Sheppard, Caleb Waldron, Terry Starley, Mike Fortune and Major Thomas McDowell
