Hubert L. Johnson

Graveside funeral services for Hubert L. Johnson, age 63, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Liberty Grove Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Koscheski and Rev. Sammy Hall will officiate.

Mr. Johnson was born on December 5, 1960, in Sandersville, Georgia. He was a heavy equipment operator with W. F. Jackson Construction. He was a master mechanic, loved restoring old cars and racing at Swainsboro Raceway. He was a good brother and uncle to his family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, David E. Johnson and Iva Lee Kersey Johnson, and 3 brothers, Richard Johnson, Michael Johnson and Ronald Johnson. Mr. Johnson passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Augusta University Medical Center.

He is survived by his 5 siblings, Geraldine McCullough of Stockbridge, Jackie Vallin of East Dublin, Glynn Johnson and wife Vickie of Gordon, Janice Lumley of East Dublin and Garry Johnson and wife Linda of Wrightsville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Weldon Thomas, Jason Lumley, Stephen Lumley, James Vallin, Tyshavious Lee and Isaiah lee.
