Hugh Blanton Allen

Graveside funeral services for Hugh Blanton Allen, age 88 will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 12, 2022, at Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bishop Kip Boswell will officiate.

Mr. Allen was born November 13, 1933, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Huey Bane and Lollis L. Coleman Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Allen; a sister, Shirley Watkins; and two brothers, Coleman Allen and infant Perry Allen. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Vietnam war. He was the owner and operator of Allen Plumbing Company in Oklahoma. Mr. Allen passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center.

Mr. Allen is survived by his special friends, Dennis and Peggy Cauley; son Billy Allen; 2 brothers, Raymond Allen and Martin Allen; 3 sisters, Eloise Williams, Barbara Woodard, and Joyce Ellington; and his beloved pet Buster.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 7800 Old Macon Rd, Danville, GA 31017.
