I. M. "Red" Jackson

Funeral services for I.M. "Red" Jackson, age 84, will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home with interment to follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. Clint Wilson will officiate. Mr. Jackson was born April 21, 1937, in Lovett, Georgia to Alton and Arrie Curl Jackson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of Lovett United Methodist Church, the Laurens Masonic Lodge 75 for 37 ½ years and served two times as the Master. He also served as Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge of Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Flanders, Graham Jackson, Junior Jackson, Will Jackson, Jettys Harville, Anne Pursley and Teddy Jackson. Mr. Jackson passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Serenity Place Hospice. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Jackson of Dublin, daughters, Lisa (Tommy) Windham and Michele (Greg) Woodard all of Dublin, brother, Ray Jackson of Macon, sister, Sue (Billy) Dixon of Dublin, grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Lausch, Cody (Miranda) Woodard, and Riley Windham, great grandchildren, Coy Lausch, Callyn Lausch, and Arlee Woodard, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Place Hospice, 504 Parker Dairy Rd, Dublin, GA 31021 or to Hunting for the Cure, 119 Beaver Run, Dublin, GA 31021, www.huntingforthecure.org. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of the funeral arrangements.
