Idonia Roberts Snell

Graveside memorial services for Dartha Idonia Snell, age 88, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate.

Miss Snell was born on July 16, 1936, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She retired from the Bank of Wrightsville and worked for several years for the Stephenson family. She lived in the same house for over 65 years, where she loved working in her yards, and received the "Yard of the Month" award. She was the daughter of the late William Forest and Marie Price Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Grayson Snell and 3 brothers, Wyman Roberts, Gene Roberts and Jimmy "Walen" Roberts. Miss Snell passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home.

Miss Snell is survived by her son, Jim Snell (Emily) of Sandersville; 2 granddaughters, Shelly Wilson (John) and Shanna Snell both of Boise, ID; and sister-in-law, Vicki Roberts of Wrightsville. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends including her many neighbors, local community members and staff of the Cornbread Cafe.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
