ɪola Stephens Covington

Funeral services for Iola Stephens Covington, age 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate.

Mrs. Covington was born on August 13, 1940, in Scott, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elry and Marie Hargrove Stephens; her husband Rev. James D. “Demp” Covington; son, William Covington; and her siblings, Mae Townsend, Darthy Grant, Georgia Smith, and Russell Stephens. She retired from Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley Company. She was a devoted Pastors wife and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Mrs. Covington passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Scott Health and Rehab.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Clark) Senn of Dublin; grandchildren, Crystal (Drew) Genteman of Atlanta, Miranda Covington of Lawrenceville, Lauren Windham of Highlands Ranch, CO and Kyle Windham of Byron; great grandchildren, Elise Genteman, James Genteman and Wesley Doyle.

Pallbearers will be Lee Duggan, Scott Stephens, Bill Middlebrooks, Kyle Windham, James Rhoten, and Drew Genteman.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the funeral home.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of the funeral arrangements.
