Iris Watson Frost

Mrs. Iris W. Frost, 86, peacefully passed away after a long illness, Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Mrs. Frost was born September 1, 1936 in Laurens County, GA; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Judson Carlton Watson, Sr. and Nannie Morris Watson; her husband M/Sgt. James Clinton Frost; daughter Regina F. Minshew – Milledgeville; siblings: Mrs. Frances Barfield – East Dublin, Mrs. Ruth Vass – Niceville, FL, Mr. Judson Watson, Jr. – East Dublin, Mr. Edsel Watson – Miami, FL, Mrs. Clovis Rowland - Dublin, Mr. Lee Fred Watson – East Dublin, and Mr. Lynn Watson – Milledgeville. She was an active member of Springfield Baptist Church serving as the Senior Adult Leader for over 18 years. She loved sharing Jesus and meeting the needs of her church family.

She is survived by daughters Ina Joy Frost of Dublin; Teresa Frost and Lorrie F. Stewart (Eddie D. Stewart) Guyton; Granddaughter Amber Jade Shearouse (Derek Shearouse) Savannah; Grandson Jameson Clinton Stewart (Kelli Stewart) Guyton, Whit Minshew (Amanda Minshew), Dustin Minshew, Atlanta. Great granddaughters; Natalie Shearouse, Kennedy Stewart, Elise Minshew; great grandson Henry Minshew; two sisters, Grace Lord from Guyton; Linda Garmany; and brother Ray Watson (Mary Alice), Dublin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends and family at Stanley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. graveside service following, at her final resting place in Westview Cemetery. Pastor Paul Wilkes will officiate the Celebration of her life. Family and friends are invited.
