Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jack Scarboro, age 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Westview Cemetery. Pastor Glen Claxton will officiate. Mr. Scarboro was born on May 20, 1932 in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wilbur and Marie Price Scarboro. Mr. Scarboro worked for more than 36 years at Armstrong World Industrial Inc. in Macon before retiring on August 1, 1993. He enjoyed people and life and was a devoted and loving husband, father, and papa. He passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Dublinair Nursing Home and Rehab. Mr. Scarboro is survived by his wife of 61 years, Saralyn Scarboro of Bartow, a son Timothy (Plachette) Scarboro of Gray, a daughter Pam Beeler of North Augusta, South Carolina, sisters Janice (Glen) Claxton of Harlem and Judy Burns of Wrightsville, four grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 277 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Macon, GA 31201. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the cemetery. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
